<p>Jody's first computer was a Commodore 64, so he remembers having to use a code wheel to play Pool of Radiance. A former music journalist who interviewed everyone from Giorgio Moroder to Trent Reznor, Jody also co-hosted Australia's first radio show about videogames, <a href="https://zedgamesau.net/tag/jody-macgregor" target="_blank">Zed Games</a>. He's written for <a href="https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/authors/jody-macgregor" target="_blank">Rock Paper Shotgun</a>, The Big Issue, <a href="https://www.gamesradar.com/author/jody-macgregor/" target="_blank">GamesRadar</a>, <a href="http://www.zam.com/author/jody-macgregor" target="_blank">Zam</a>, <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20170606042647/http://www.glixel.com/contributor/jody-macgregor" target="_blank">Glixel</a>, <a href="https://fiveoutoftenmagazine.com/downloads/issue-16-identity/" target="_blank">Five Out of Ten Magazine</a>, and <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20171009125722/https://www.playboy.com/authors/jody-macgregor" target="_blank">Playboy.com</a>, whose cheques with the bunny logo made for fun conversations at the bank. Jody's first article for PC Gamer was about the <a href="https://www.pcgamer.com/the-audio-of-alien-isolation/">audio of Alien Isolation</a>, published in 2015, and since then he's written about <a href="https://www.pcgamer.com/why-silent-hill-belongs-on-pc/">why Silent Hill belongs on PC</a>, <a href="https://www.pcgamer.com/10-years-on-recettear-an-item-shops-tale-is-still-the-best-fantasy-shopkeeper-tycoon-game/">why Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is the best fantasy shopkeeper tycoon game</a>, and <a href="https://www.pcgamer.com/there-is-so-so-much-weird-shit-in-lost-ark/">how weird Lost Ark can get</a>. Jody edited PC Gamer Indie from 2017 to 2018, and he eventually lived up to his promise to play every Warhammer videogame.</p>
Persona tragics have been begging for remakes of the first two games in the series for ages (at least, the ones who aren't begging for remakes of the PS2-era Shin Megami Tensei games instead). After thoroughly milking Persona 4 and 5, series producer Kazuhisa Wada said in August, "personally, I think it's something we should definitely do."
Now, almost two minutes of footage from what sure looks like a Persona 1 remake has leaked via the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. It shows some dungeon exploration, typically flashy combat, and a dialogue scene all in the modern Persona style.
Oddly, Tatsuya from Persona 2 is one of the party members, though it's possible this is a cross-promotional skin you can equip. Or maybe the remakes will incorporate some kind of Persona Q-style crossover?
While it's fair to be suspicious this could be AI-generated footage, it seems both a bit too long and too internally consistent for that to be the case. And it's not like Atlus hasn't got form, given that we found out the Persona 3 remake was real via a leak as well.
