Musk says he’s exploring a SpaceX-Tesla megamerger

“Just exploring,” Musk said in the post. “It would be a natural fit.”
A combined SpaceX-Tesla company would be worth a staggering $300 billion, according to a note from Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives. Ives estimates that SpaceX is currently worth $150 billion, while Tesla is worth $150 billion.
“The combined entity would be a behemoth in the tech and transportation space, with a massive war chest to invest in future growth,” Ives said in the note. “We believe this is a real possibility down the road.”
Musk has long been a proponent of merging SpaceX and Tesla. In 2020, he said that he was considering merging the two companies, but ultimately decided against it. At the time, Musk said that the merger would be too complicated and would require too much regulatory approval.
