The Surface Laptop Ultra is a true MacBook Pro competitor for Windows, and Microsoft has never been so close to dethroning Apple—if only it weren't for the lack of battery life.
A Stunning Design
The Surface Laptop Ultra is a beautiful machine. It’s thin and light, and the design is sleek and modern. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the trackpad is responsive. The display is bright and colorful, and the speakers are loud and clear.
But the Surface Laptop Ultra is more than just a pretty face. It’s also a powerful machine. It’s powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor and features a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics card. This means that it can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.
AI-Powered Features
The Surface Laptop Ultra is the first PC to feature Microsoft’s Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This NPU is designed to accelerate AI tasks, such as image recognition and natural language processing. As a result, the Surface Laptop Ultra is able to perform these tasks much faster and more efficiently than other PCs.
One of the most impressive AI-powered features of the Surface Laptop Ultra is its ability to automatically adjust the display settings based on the ambient lighting. This means that the display will always look its best, no matter where you are.
Battery Life Concerns
The only real downside to the Surface Laptop Ultra is its battery life. In our tests, we were only able to get around 6 hours of battery life on a single charge. This is significantly less than the MacBook Pro, which can get up to 17 hours of battery life.
Overall
The Surface Laptop Ultra is a fantastic laptop. It’s beautiful, powerful, and packed with features. If you’re looking for a Windows laptop that can compete with the MacBook Pro, the Surface Laptop Ultra is definitely worth considering. However, if battery life is a top priority, you may want to look elsewhere.
